Certainly a controversial figure in pop culture as much as in politics, but do we truly understand Che Guevara? As in any of these portrait subjects, we have to take in the context of the era and culture he lived in. In an impoverished and violent continent, Ernesto witnessed the wealth and corruption from an early age. This angered him and he set out to create change. We don’t have to back his methods or his politics to understand how far we would go to preserve the sanctity of our family.
