Jimi at Monterey

Jimi’s return to the US after success in England was highlighted by his spectacular performance at Monterey. By the time he reached the stage that evening, Jimi had spent the afternoon hand-painting his Stratocaster. This was to be his gift to the audience, but it would also cement his name in history. Jimi’s hand-painted design I have replicated around the frame.
